BUILD A BRIDGE POEM

With all life's struggles I must be a friend to build a bridge.
If I should go along like this, I'd wonder why I lived.
Many children across the land have no one showing they care.
When they fall down, they make no sound; they do not know
What it would feel like to have a hand to pull them up
I'd tell them, 'It's okay; I'll help you." Will you come?
I'll build a bridge to show you that someone does really care.
Let me give you a hug and show you that you're loved.
Don't let my life go on like this.
I want to build a bridge.
Many wants and challenges are knocking at my door.
"I want this and I want that" is not how I want to be.
When it is time to go into an undesirable land
Please strengthen me to be the one to lend a helping hand
Fear be gone of what might happen.
While I'm there I want to know
Of all the challenges children face when left along to grow.
Little ones, when there is change, opportunities will abound
And you too will learn, that with much love
There's a way to make a difference in this town.
